Day in the Life
On November 17, 2021, the American Bahraini Friendship Society (ABFS) hosted a virtual panel discussion “Day in the Life”, giving members a real inside look on how a U.S service member from the United States Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) based in Bahrain carries on his daily duties and life on the base. The panel discussion started off with welcoming remarks from the President of ABFS, VADM John W. Miller, as he highlighted the enduring U.S Bahrain relationship, and the history of the naval fleet in Bahrain. The discussion followed with four opening remarks from U.S service members based in NAVCENT, sharing their day to day activities and experiences as they carry out their duties on the base. The service members took various questions from the audience, moderated by Dr. Mubarak Buti, the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Washington D.C.
