The Pearling Path in the Kingdom of Bahrain is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. With the Pearling Path tour, guests were shown an insight into the old city of Muharraq. Muharraq is Bahrain’s third largest city and served as its capital until 1932 when it was replaced by Manama. Al Muharraq still retains much of the attraction of an old-fashioned traditional Bahraini city, with its charming buildings, narrow streets, and fine historic houses with their traditional Arab-Gulf style of architecture.
Guests were fascinated by the traditional old Bahraini houses, their design, art, and atmosphere. Each house in Al Muharraq tells a different story talking about the history of Bahrain, Pearl diving. The tour included an exclusive entrance to Bahrain Pavilion and Bahrain Pearl Path monument where the speaker explained the importance of their existence throughout the history of Bahrain. Finally, guests viewed the local Bahraini coffee shop and got to see the traditional life.
